DevOPS / CloudOPS Engineer Location: Chennai Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile AWS DevOps & CloudOps Engineer to join our team. As an AWS DevOps & CloudOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, implementing DevOps practices, and ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based applications and services. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to automate processes, streamline deployments, and maintain a secure and scalable cloud environment. This role requires expertise in AWS services, DevOps methodologies, and cloud operations. We’d also like you to have hands-on experience on software development and be able to manage complex programs Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions on the AWS platform, following best practices for scalability, security, and availability. 2. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated build, test, and deployment processes to ensure efficient and reliable application releases. 3. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using infrastructure-as- code tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible. 4. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architectures for cloud deployment, leveraging services like AWS Lambda, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, or containerization technologies. 5. Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, responding to alerts and ensuring high availability and reliability of applications and infrastructure components. 6. Implement and enforce security measures and compliance standards to protect sensitive data, working closely with the security team to identify and remediate vulnerabilities. 7. Conduct regular audits and perform proactive capacity planning to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost optimization. 8. Develop and maintain monitoring and logging solutions, utilizing tools such as AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus/Grafana to gather and analyze system metrics and logs. 9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish disaster recovery plans and backup strategies, ensuring business continuity in the event of system failures or disruptions. 10. Stay up to date with the latest AWS services, DevOps tools, and cloud operations best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. 11. Address technical concerns, ideas, and suggestions 12. Collaborate with other professionals to determine non-functional requirements for software or applications 13. Use tools and methodologies to create representations 14. Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers 15. Should believe in Automation & always attempts to automate any process & functions Qualifications and Skills: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 2. Proven experience as a DevOps / CloudOPS Engineer with a focus on AWS cloud services and cloud operations. 3. Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, Route53, CloudFront, API Gateway, Load Balancer, Elasticache, Managed Kafka Service and IAM. 4. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline. 5. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. 6. Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible. 7. Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system administration in AWS. 8. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. 9. Experience with monitoring and log management tools such as AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus/Grafana. 10. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. 11. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross- functional teams.
