Company seeks a Senior Data Engineer with experience in Big Data Technologies. The Senior Data Engineer will gain exciting real-world software engineering experience at KCS. We frequently work in teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal intern for this environment will be enthusiastic and collaborative. Responsibility: Create and Maintain data pipelines between core data systems Help prioritize business intelligence efforts Performing root cause analysis data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop work plans to meet business priorities by partnering with all stakeholders Create value by providing data-driven solutions to various business problems Explore and establish new technologies, tools and new ways of solving problems Build standards and reusable components/frameworks Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. Skills Required: 3+ years’ experience managing an agile design driven, user-centered product and development team Ability to work with team members located in multiple geographies and time zones. Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. Experience with Cloudera/MapR/Hortonworks Good understanding of Lambda Architecture, along with its advantages and drawbacks Performing root cause analysis data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. Working with structured and unstructured datasets. Big data ecosystem tools: GCP Big Query, AirFlow, Spark, or similar tools. Cloud services: AWS, GCP, Azure Educational Qualification: B. Tech/ M. Tech OR MCA
