Position Overview :As a Middleware Administrator with 7 to 10 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining various middleware technologies to ensure the stability, performance, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple infrastructure projects, providing technical consultation, automating tasks, and ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.Key Responsibilities :Proficiency in Middleware Technologies :- Demonstrate proficiency in several middleware technologies, including but not limited to WebSphere, Liberty, MQ, JBoss, OmegaMon, Tomcat, Apache HTTP, NodeJS, and Cloud Services.Infrastructure Projects Management :- Manage multiple infrastructure projects related to middleware products, providing advice, guidance, and technical expertise to colleagues.- Participate in out-of-hours change and troubleshooting activities on a rotational basis.Infrastructure Complexity Reduction :- Consolidate and reduce infrastructure complexity through effective management and optimization of middleware technologies.Middleware Environment Maintenance :- Maintain stable Application Servers and Messaging environments, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest middleware versions and patches.Security Compliance and Standards :- Ensure that the middleware environment meets security compliance requirements and adheres to middleware standards.Technical Consultation :- Provide technical consultation to stakeholders and project teams on middleware-related matters, offering insights and recommendations for infrastructure improvements.Task Automation :- Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort in middleware administration.Risk and Cost Management :- Identify and mitigate risks associated with middleware technologies, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.Service Quality Targets :- Ensure that Service Quality Targets are met for the platform services offered, maintaining high standards of reliability and performance.Product Roadmaps and Communication :- Stay updated on middleware product roadmaps and technological advancements, keeping other areas of the organization informed about available infrastructure capabilities.On-Call Support :- Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis to address middleware-related incidents and emergencies.Weekend Tasks Support :- Support weekend tasks as part of the rotational schedule, ensuring the smooth operation of middleware environments during critical periods.Qualifications and Experience :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 7 to 10 years of experience in middleware administration and infrastructure management.- Strong proficiency in various middleware technologies and platforms.- Experience in managing infrastructure projects and providing technical consultation.- Knowledge of security compliance requirements and risk management.- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.- Effective communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
