We are looking for a seasoned and highly proficient Senior Java L3 Technical Support Engineer to lead our technical support efforts for Java-based applications. As a Senior Java L3 Technical Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our production environments, while providing advanced technical assistance and guidance to our customers and internal teams.Role: Java L3 Tech Support EngineerExperience: 8+ YrsLocation: Bangalore (Work from Office)Key Responsibilities:1. Lead the resolution of complex technical issues related to Java-based applications running in production environments. Utilize your extensive expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, Docker Hub or Kubernetes orchestration, and RDBMS to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.2. Leverage your strong programming skills in Java to review code, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize application performance. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior support engineers and development teams on best practices for writing high-quality code.3. Take ownership of the stability and reliability of production environments, ensuring seamless operation and minimal downtime. Monitor system health, analyze performance metrics, and proactively identify areas for improvement or optimization.4. Handle escalated tickets and incidents on a daily basis, adhering to SLAs and ensuring timely resolution of issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and quality assurance, to address customer concerns and provide effective solutions.5. Oversee the setup and configuration of local, testing, and production environments to ensure consistency and accuracy. Manage Docker containers or Kubernetes clusters, configure database connections, and perform thorough testing to validate system functionality.6. Implement and execute comprehensive code tests to validate the functionality, performance, and security of Java applications. Develop automated test scripts and test suites to streamline testing processes and improve overall code quality.7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our technical support processes. Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and innovation to streamline workflows and improve customer satisfaction.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.- 8+ years of experience in technical support roles, with a focus on supporting Java-based applications.- Extensive proficiency in Java programming language, with a deep understanding of Java EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.- Demonstrated expertise in microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and relational database management systems (RDBMS).- Strong experience in setting up and managing local, testing, and production environments in cloud-based or on-premises infrastructures.- Proven ability to handle escalated tickets and incidents, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet stringent SLAs.- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution.- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.- Leadership experience or the ability to mentor and guide junior team members effectively.
