Job Description for Technical Leadership Role : A leading company in the subscription billing domain is seeking a visionary leader to provide both technology thought leadership and people management for their platform teams.The platform organization aims to develop core, reusable technology that ensures seamless scalability, high resiliency, and availability. These capabilities are crucial for maintaining technological competitiveness, expanding the customer base, and enhancing user experiences.Responsibilities :- Assume ownership of technology.- Act as the Chief Architect, fostering a culture of technology through a shared strategic architecture vision.- Drive and make decisions on all technology choices to bring product visions to life.- Develop and implement a long-term roadmap aimed at enhancing engineering efficiency.Technology Branding and Evangelism :- Represent and promote the company's technological strategy both internally and externally to employees, customers, partners, and investors.- Responsible for enhancing the company's technology talent brand, managing the patent portfolio, and engaging in blogs, conference presentations, and tech media coverage.Requirements :- A minimum of 12 years of experience as a Tech Architect in product-first, tech-first companies serving global markets.- Extensive experience in Security, Scale, Design and Architecture, API, Cloud Infrastructure, Tooling, and multiple frameworks.- Executive presence with strong communication skills.- Demonstrated ability to lead in technology thought leadership.- This role encompasses areas such as Engineering Management, Backend Development, and Full-Stack Development, with integral ties to integrations such as Salesforce, Xero, Quickbooks, Avalara, and Slack.- Successful candidate will be a pivotal part of ensuring that the company's technology infrastructure supports and enhances its strategic objectives.
