Learn more at https://avasant.com/ Role Overview – As the Senior Infrastructure Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery and ongoing support of our cloud services. You will provide technical expertise in resolving service delivery issues, manage vendor relationships, and continuously improve standards and procedures to drive high-quality IT service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of server technologies, networking, and infrastructure operations and excellent communication and leadership skills. Key Responsibilities: Service Delivery Management Service Delivery: Ensure the delivery of high-quality infrastructure services that meet or exceed SLAs and customer expectations. Implement and manage ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, change, and service level management. Conduct regular service reviews with stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Project Management: Lead and manage infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality outcomes. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and alignment with business objectives. Utilize project management methodologies and tools to track progress and report on project status. Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 30+ professionals across multiple infrastructure domains. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence within the team. Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent in the infrastructure space. Strategic Planning and Budgeting (preferable): Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and investments. Participate in strategic planning activities, providing insights and recommendations on infrastructure initiatives. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Expertise in Infrastructure Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management of all infrastructure areas, including servers, storage, networking, data centers, and end-user computing. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure services to meet business needs. Develop and maintain infrastructure roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technology trends. Cloud Services: Lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Ensure effective cloud service delivery and cost management. Drive cloud adoption and migration strategies, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Cybersecurity: Develop and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect organizational assets. Manage cybersecurity operations, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management. Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) is a plus. 8 - 12 years of experience in infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven experience managing a headcount of 30+ across multiple infrastructure domains. Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cybersecurity. Infrastructure experience in server and storage technologies Experience with different flavors of Linux Demonstrated ability to grow and optimize infrastructure teams within a service provider or enterprise environment. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Experience with ITIL processes and project management methodologies. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
