Responsibilities : - Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) : Participate in all phases of the SDLC for embedded systems, from requirements gathering and design to coding, testing, and deployment.- Embedded System Programming : Write efficient and reliable embedded software using languages like C and C++ with a deep understanding of memory management and resource constraints in embedded systems.- Hardware Integration : Interface with hardware components like sensors, actuators, and communication modules, - ensuring proper communication and data exchange.- Device Drivers : Develop and maintain device drivers for various hardware components.- Real-Time Systems : Design and implement software that meets real-time requirements, ensuring timely responses to events.- Testing and Debugging : Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to identify and resolve software bugs.- Utilize debugging tools to diagnose and fix software issues.- Low-Level Programming : May involve working with low-level programming concepts like interrupt handling and assembly language for specific tasks.- Version Control : Use version control systems like Git to manage code changes and collaborate effectively with other developers.- Documentation : Write clear and concise technical documentation for the developed software.Skills Required : - Strong programming skills : Expertise in C and C++ for embedded systems programming.- Understanding of embedded systems architecture : Knowledge of hardware components, memory management, and resource constraints in embedded systems.- Real-time systems concepts : Familiarity with real-time scheduling and task management principles.- Hardware interfacing : Experience with interfacing various hardware components like sensors, actuators, and communication modules.- Debugging skills : Ability to effectively debug and troubleshoot software issues using debugging tools.- Problem-solving and analytical skills : Strong analytical skills to identify and solve complex technical problems.- Communication and collaboration skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders.
