Description:
Responsibilities :- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and software packages on physical and virtual servers.- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring adherence to security policies and best practices.- Implement and maintain system backup and recovery procedures to protect against data loss and minimize downtime.- Configure and manage network services, including DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and NFS, to support internal and external communication and collaboration.- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls, to protect against unauthorized access and malicious activities.- Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades in accordance with established procedures and change management processes.- Create and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing and support.- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving issues and answering inquiries in a timely and professional manner.- Collaborate with other IT teams, including network administrators, system engineers, and developers, to support IT initiatives and projects.Requirements :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 4-5 years of experience in Linux system administration.- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and managing Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS.- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or KVM.- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and NFS.- Familiarity with security best practices and tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls.- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and scripting tasks.- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
