Description:
Experience :- 3-6 years of demonstrated hands-on experience in Python programming and data testing, with a focus on Snowflake and SnowSQL.Technical Skills :Data Testing & Automation :- Experience in designing, developing, and executing test cases for data pipelines, data warehouses (Snowflake), and data quality.- Proficiency in writing automated tests using Python and tools like Pytest or unittest.- Experience with test data generation strategies for data testing.- Knowledge of SQL and SnowSQL for querying and manipulating data in Snowflake.- Experience with defect tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) for test execution and management.Data Warehousing & Cloud Technologies :- In-depth knowledge of Snowflake as a data warehouse platform, including its architecture, functionalities, and best practices.- Working experience with AWS S3 cloud storage for data ingestion and management.- Understanding of SQL Hive for querying data stored in data lakes.- Basic understanding of Airflow or similar orchestration tools for data pipelines (a plus).- General knowledge of cloud technologies and their impact on data testing (AWS environment preferred).Responsibilities :- Collaborate with developers and data engineers to understand data pipelines and data transformations.- Design and develop test cases to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency in Snowflake.- Implement automated test scripts using Python for efficient test execution.- Generate and manage test data for testing purposes.- Execute test cases, identify data defects, and report them through appropriate channels.- Participate in test planning, estimation, and execution within Agile development cycles.- Work collaboratively with the development team, QA team, client representatives (SSE), and other stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.- Stay up-to-date on the latest data testing techniques, tools, and best practices.Soft Skills :- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.- Strong written skills for clear and concise test case documentation and reporting.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively while prioritizing deadlines.- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality testing.
