Description:
Role : Mainframe Storage Engineer. As a Mainframe Storage Engineer on the zSeries Mainframe , need to be technical authority in the area.This is a hands-on role where the resource need configure and maintain products and services according to Group standards and policies, plus assist with the delivery of projects within z/Storage environments this includes out of hours.Job Description :- Support and implement changes to the Z Storage estate within LBG as required.- Resolution of incidents and problems across the LBG estate in line with LBG KPI's.- Assist the z/Storage team in war room/conference calls with incident management and technical teams in order to restore service.- Provide 24x7 support and provide support for projects and team workload as required.- Work effectively with the wider z/Storage tower in order to run the smooth transition of projects into live service.- Provide consultancy skills to Application teams as required.- Experience in a similar role providing Mainframe Storage Support.- Happy to consider people with just a few years experience but need some background in this domain.- Expertise in Z Mainframe Storage Software): i.e DFSMS DFHSM DFRMM and related utilities.- Expertise in Job Control Language (JCL).- Knowledge of IBM Storage Hardware i.e DS8000 Disk, VTS, ATL, SAN.- Experience handling incidents & problem solving, plus handling change requests.- Experience with managing ICF Catalogs. Optional : Experience of storage performance & capacity management.Optional : Experience of Dell Storage Hardware. Skills : mainframe, storage, capacity management.Exp : 5 to 8 years (ref:hirist.tech)
