About the role :This role is pivotal in the mission to "Solve for Billion Indians" by architecting open National Platforms that facilitate accessible, efficient, and transparent service delivery to ordinary citizens in vital areas such as water, sanitation, health, urban, and public finance management.We are seeking motivated and talented professionals with expertise in J2EE-related technologies, a passion for Nation-building, and a commitment to developing world-class technology solutions.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Platform/Product Engineering, Product Team, Solution Engineering, Mission Teams, and DevOps) to identify, track, and resolve dependencies, ensuring timely delivery.- Establish project management processes and guidelines, ensuring alignment with defined goals and driving activities towards successful outcomes.- Serve as a central point of contact for all Product/Platform Delivery tracks, providing updates, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation plans.- Facilitate planning meetings and publish release plans with milestones in coordination with Platform, Product, Mission, and Engineering teams.- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams.- Provide technical leadership throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including system analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.- Advocate for architectural and development best practices, leading and managing the development team.- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, making informed decisions on technology choices and architectural strategies.- Conduct regular change management sessions to address technology updates, collaborating with Architects.- Oversee DevOps processes for platform development and deployment, and mentor top technical talent within the organization.Required Skills & Experience :- Bachelor's degree in any stream with IT experience.- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple software/technology projects across locations is a must.- 3+ years of hands-on experience on at least one Project Management tool preferably open source is a must.- Great capabilities to handle things in Excel are a plus.- 8-10 years of total IT experience with 4+ years in a project delivery environment handling multiple projects simultaneously.- Strong presentation skills, capable of communicating effectively with Senior leadership and business leaders.- The operating style is suited to working in a small-organization setting, where teamwork and resourcefulness are highly valued.- Ability to work independently and proactively, without support staff and with little supervision- Prior exposure to either the urban governance sector, public sector, development sector, or consulting is an added advantage.- High level of spoken and written fluency in English.- Experience in Java stacked development projects.- Knowledge of multiple technology streams (2EE, dynamic languages, Springboot, Web Services, and Design Patterns) is preferable.- Knowledge of GIT, Maven, Jenkins, YAML/JSON, Open API Contract - Swagger, and Postman is preferable.- Knowledge of microservice architecture, Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, and REST concepts is preferable.- Knowledge of Python and Analytics is an added advantage.- Knowledge of Postgres/ PSql or any other SQL database is preferable.- Knowledge of Elasticsearch, NodeJS, and ReactJS is preferable.- Ability to compare various options and decide.- Ability to see abstractions bubbling up from different teams and consolidate the same.- Leading teams on end-to-end development and implementation.
