Description:
About the Role :We are looking for a skilled and experienced MES Integration Developer to join our team and play a crucial role in developing and integrating solutions for our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). You will leverage your expertise in MES systems, SQL and PL/SQL programming, and the Steel/Aluminum industry to ensure seamless data flow and process optimization.Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and implement software solutions for integrating MES systems with various functionalities (e.g. PSI Metals, GE Proficy, Siemens Opcenter, Apriso, FactoryTalk).- Utilize your in-depth knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL to develop complex code units, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, types, and views within the Oracle database.- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to understand production processes, translate requirements into technical specifications, and develop efficient MES solutions.- Participate in performance tuning activities to optimize system performance and ensure efficient data processing.- Maintain and update existing MES integrations, ensuring ongoing functionality and addressing any arising issues.- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in MES technologies and industry best practices.Candidate Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Minimum of 6 years of experience in product development, preferably within the manufacturing domain.- Proven experience in MES system integration and development (experience with any of the mentioned MES systems (PSI Metals, GE Proficy, Siemens Opcenter, Apriso, FactoryTalk) is a plus).- At least 4 years of experience in SQL and PL/SQL programming, with a strong ability to develop complex code.- Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture and proficiency in creating PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, types, and views.- Knowledge of the Steel/Aluminum industry processes and terminology is highly desirable.- Working knowledge of ISA 95 standards for enterprise integration is a plus.Required Skills :- MES system integration and development experience- Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming- Strong understanding of Oracle database management- Familiarity with performance tuning techniquesAdditional Skills (Preferred) :- Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java, C++)- Experience with data migration tools and processes- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills (ref:hirist.tech)
