As the Director of Product Design, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our products, ensuring they are not only aesthetically pleasing but also intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with our brand values. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of talented product designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster their professional growth and development. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and marketing to define product design strategies that meet business objectives and customer needs. Drive the end-to-end product design process, from concept ideation and prototyping to user testing and final implementation, ensuring high quality and timely delivery. Establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and cohesiveness across all products and platforms. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools, and leverage this knowledge to innovate and differentiate our products in the market. Champion a user-centered design approach, conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on product designs. Communicate design concepts, rationale, and vision effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, advocating for the importance of design in achieving business objectives. Drive continuous improvement in design processes and workflows, identifying areas for optimization and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and productivity. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of leading design teams and delivering successful products to market. Expertise in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc., and familiarity with prototyping tools and techniques. Strong understanding of user experience principles, interaction design, and information architecture, with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and influence stakeholders effectively. Strategic thinker with the ability to balance creative vision with business goals and constraints. Passion for innovation and a relentless pursuit of excellence in design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work and thought process. Champion a customer-centric mindset across the organization to ensure that product decisions are driven by customer value. Orientation: Set ambitious but achievable goals for product success, and drive the team towards meeting or exceeding these goals. Take ownership of product outcomes and demonstrate a relentless focus on delivering business results. Discipline: Sets clear priorities, objectives, and plans for teams and crisply communicates throughout the organization.
