Awiros is the conduit to bring the most cutting-edge research in the areas of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence to the market.Overview :We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Project Manager to join our team. The QA Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes and ensuring the successful completion of projects within specified timelines and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of quality assurance methodologies.Responsibilities :Estimation : Work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and QA team members, to understand project requirements and scope. Use historical data, past experiences, and relevant metrics to estimate the time, resources, and effort required for QA activities. Prioritization : Collaborate with project stakeholders to prioritize testing activities based on business goals, risks, and customer impact. Identify critical paths and high-risk areas within the project that require immediate attention. Use risk-based testing techniques to prioritize test cases and scenarios, focusing on areas with the highest potential for defects or failures.Project Planning : Develop comprehensive project plans outlining QA objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables. Allocate resources effectively, including QA team members, testing tools, and infrastructure. Establish clear criteria for test coverage, exit criteria, and acceptance criteria. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and requirements.Coordination : Facilitate regular meetings and communication channels to coordinate QA activities with other project teams (e.g., development, product management, operations). Assign tasks and responsibilities to QA team members, ensuring a balanced workload and adherence to project timelines. Monitor progress and performance against the QA plan, identifying any deviations or roadblocks and taking corrective actions as necessary. Quality Assurance : Establish and maintain quality assurance processes, standards, and methodologies. Develop test plans, test cases, and testing strategies to ensure thorough product testing. Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing as needed. Implement automated testing tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and test coverage. Perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolution of defects with development teams. Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging continuous learning and improvement. Coordinate resources and workload to meet project deadlines and objectives. Communication : Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, management, and project teams. Facilitate meetings, including project kick-offs, status updates, and post-mortems. Act as a liaison between QA, development, product management, and other departments. Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline QA processes and improve efficiency. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends. Drive initiatives to enhance overall product quality and customer satisfaction.REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience of 2 years as a QA Project Manager, and 3-4 years of hands-on experience as a QA Engineer. Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc. Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure. Experience in mentoring and coaching QA engineers. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus. (ref:hirist.tech)
