Summary :We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Network Engineer/Administrator to join our team and play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of our network systems, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and scalability.Responsibilities :- Design, implement, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other network components.- Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying and troubleshooting network congestion, latency, and connectivity issues.- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems (IDS) to safeguard network integrity.- Lead network upgrade projects and ensure smooth migration to new technologies.- Automate network tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to improve efficiency.- Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices.- Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and troubleshoot user-related network issues.- Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and industry trends.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)- 5+ years of experience in network administration or engineering (or 3-5 years with relevant certifications)- Proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network solutions- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and network security principles- Experience with network operating systems (e.g., Cisco IOS, JUNOS) and network management tools (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow)- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- A proactive and results-oriented approachDesired Skills & Certifications :- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent network engineering certifications- Experience with cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network)- Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) (ref:hirist.tech)
