Job Description:- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with extensive experience to join our team.- The Senior Oracle DBA will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and performance of our Oracle databases, as well as providing strategic direction for database management within the organization.- The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Oracle database technologies, strong expertise in performance tuning and monitoring, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:- Oracle Database Management: Manage and maintain Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, and upgrades, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.- Performance Tuning: Perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring to identify and address bottlenecks and optimize database performance.- Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage all Oracle backup and recovery scenarios to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in case of system failures.- Security Management: Implement and maintain Oracle security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.- Resource Management: Manage Oracle resources effectively, including space allocation, memory management, and user access control.- Database Design: Design and implement physical database structures to support efficient data storage and retrieval, ensuring scalability and performance.- Application Support: Provide support for application teams in code migration, database change management, and data management throughout the development lifecycle.- Strategic Direction: Provide strategic direction for database management within the organization, including evaluating new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve database efficiency and effectiveness.- Communication: Collaborate with management, development teams, vendors, and system administrators to communicate database requirements, issues, and solutions effectively.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- Advanced degree preferred.- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is required.- 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in a senior or lead role.- In-depth understanding of Oracle database technologies, utilities, and tools.- Strong knowledge of physical database design principles and best practices.- Experience in Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring.- Expertise in all Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.- Familiarity with Oracle security management practices and data integrity principles.- Experience with code migration, database change management, and data management throughout the development lifecycle.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
