About the Role :We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation Tester to join our growing QA team. This role offers some flexibility on the minimum required experience level (as low as 3 years in exceptional cases). As an Automation Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our web applications through a combination of manual and automated testing practices.Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans covering various functionalities of web applications.- Automate test cases using Selenium WebDriver with Java and BDD frameworks like Cucumber (experience with BDD is desirable).- Collaborate with developers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.- Utilize Git for version control and maintain a clean codebase for automated tests.- Perform API testing using tools like Postman or SOAP UI to ensure data integrity.- Effectively communicate test results, identify and report bugs, and work towards resolution.- Stay up-to-date on the latest testing methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks.Must-Have Skills (Mandatory for Consideration) :- 3+ years of experience in software testing (5+ years is preferred, but negotiable for highly skilled candidates).- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java for web application automation.- Experience using a Git version control system.- Strong understanding of API testing concepts and experience with tools like Postman or SOAP UI.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Should-Have Skills (Highly Preferred) :- Experience with API automation testing frameworks like Rest Assured.- Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and various testing types (System, Integration, UAT).- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and Confluence for bug tracking and task management.- Experience with build automation tools like Maven or Gradle.- Understanding of Agile methodologies and associated ceremonies.- Experience working with international clients (a plus).
