Position Title : Senior Quality Assurance EngineerResponsibilities :Leadership and Team Management :- Lead a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient project execution.- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.Quality Assurance Strategy :- Develop and implement QA strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure high-quality software products.- Define QA standards and best practices for the team to follow.- Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies.Test Planning and Execution :- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on project requirements and specifications.- Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools.- Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing as needed.Test Automation :- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.- Identify opportunities for test automation and implement automation strategies to increase testing efficiency and coverage.Defect Management :- Identify, report, and track software defects using defect tracking tools.- Work closely with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects in a timely manner.- Perform root cause analysis to determine the underlying cause of defects and recommend corrective actions.Quality Metrics and Reporting :- Define and track key quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of QA processes and the quality of software releases.- Generate and distribute QA reports and dashboards to stakeholders, highlighting key quality indicators and trends.Collaboration and Communication :- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on quality goals and objectives.- Communicate QA status, issues, and risks to project stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.- Participate in project meetings, reviews, and retrospectives to provide QA insights and feedback.Continuous Improvement :- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and software testing.- Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose initiatives to enhance QA effectiveness and efficiency.- Actively participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the professional development of team members.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.- Proven experience in leading QA teams and managing QA projects.- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.- Quality certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are a plus.
