About the job : We are seeking a seasoned PHP Lead Developer with a strong background in travel-related products. The ideal candidate will be proficient in PHP, with expertise in the CodeIgniter framework, MySQL and Linux. With a deep understanding of backend development and front-end implementation, and if you've previously worked on B2C or B2B travel booking portals, especially for flights and hotels, and are familiar with Agile methodologies and JIRA, we would love to meet you!You will work closely with dev and business teams while reporting to Chief Architect.Key responsibilities : Leadership & Collaboration : - Guide and mentor a team of developers, ensuring best practices and cohesive direction.- Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders to translate product requirements into scalable solutions.Backend Development : - Architect, design, and develop robust PHP applications and APIs using CodeIgniter framework.- Optimize applications for scalability and speed using MySQL.- Manage database operations, ensure data integrity, and security.Front-end Implementation : - Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.- Ensure responsive and optimized front-end integration.Product Development : - Play a pivotal role in building travel-related products, particularly our B2C travel booking portal.- Ensure the creation of feature-rich, user-centric platforms for flights and hotel bookings.Code Development & QA : - Implement the best code development practices.- Worked with bitbucket or any other code repository to manage multiple repositories and branches.- Work with DevOps/Infra engineer to manage different environments deployment.- Implement strong testing processes.- Coordinate with QA teams to ensure bug-free deployments.Agile & Project Management : - Work within an Agile development framework, adapting and iterating to deliver optimal outcomes.- Utilize JIRA for project management, tracking, and workflow optimization.Required Skills and Experience : - Minimum of 6 years of experience in PHP development.- Proficiency in the CodeIgniter framework.- In-depth knowledge of MySQL, ensuring efficient database operations.- Hands-on experience with Linux server management and operations.- Comprehensive understanding of front-end/client-side technologies and platforms like HTML, CSS, Ajax, jQuery.- Previous experience in building B2C or B2B travel booking portals for flights and hotels.- Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies.- Proficiency in using JIRA for project management.- Must be based in the Delhi NCR region or willing to relocate.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
