Description:
Responsibilities :Design the overall architecture and roadmap for Mercari's backend systems.Design and implement common middleware and core microservices.Work with the Platform and SRE team to provide a robust microservices platform.Work across multiple backend teams to help design, build, and evolve microservices.Help form a healthy organization structure, and define guidelines on service development, testing, deployment, and monitoring to the whole engineering organization.Help building and pushing forward the plans for FinOps initiatives, and the overall BE framework.Requirements :BS degree in Computer Science, Graduate degree preferred.At least 10 years of experience in a variety of hands-on software/technology roles, preferably in Consumer Internet Products and Solutions in the cloud.Hands-on engineer with cloud-native skills, being comfortable with one of the cloud stacks, preferably GCP.At least 6 years of architecting, driving, and implementing multiple features on a Microservices stack at a high scale, performance, and reliability of at least 4 nines.Deep understanding and proven experience in the various dimensions of building and delivering multi-tenanted cloud-native Microservices.Well-versed in the challenges of distributed systems, modern cloud-native architectures, and distributed data management in a cloud environment.Exceptional written and verbal communication in pursuit of driving the mission forward.Influencing skills in balancing short and long-term objectives including technical and business outcomes.
