About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Mainframe Storage Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in managing and maintaining our mainframe storage infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and security of our critical business data. Responsibilities: - Provide daily support for all aspects of our mainframe storage environment, including hardware, software, and processes. - Possess a strong understanding of basic IBM mainframe storage functions and configuration. - Demonstrate expertise in CA Storage Management solutions, including Vantage, CA Disk, and CA Allocate. - Troubleshoot channel connectivity issues at a mid-level, possessing knowledge of hardware support principles. - Utilize IWS (Integrated Warehouse Scheduler) to analyze and optimize storage housekeeping schedules. Desired Skills: Mandatory: - 10+ years of experience in mainframe storage administration. - Proven experience with IBM mainframe storage hardware and software. - In-depth knowledge of CA Storage Management products (Vantage, CA Disk, CA Allocate). - Ability to troubleshoot channel connectivity issues. - Experience using IWS for storage management tasks. Good to Have: - Experience with T REX and RTD storage management tools. - Understanding of Object Access Method (OAM). - Skills in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and data security. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
