Description:
We are looking for an Oracle Apps DBA with 5 to 10 years of experience to manage and maintain our Oracle E-Business Suite environment, specifically supporting R12.The ideal candidate will have expertise in a wide range of Oracle technologies, including database administration, WebLogic, Oracle RAC, and performance tuning. As an Oracle Apps DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our Oracle E-Business Suite applications and databases.Key Responsibilities :Installation, Configuration, and Upgrades :- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite applications and databases.- Implement patches, updates, and upgrades to maintain system integrity and security.Cloning and Patching :- Perform cloning of Oracle E-Business Suite environments for development, testing, and production purposes.- Apply patches and updates using tools such as ADOP (Application DBA Online Patching).Performance Tuning and Optimization :- Conduct performance tuning at both the application and database level to optimize system performance and scalability.- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and AWR reports.Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis :- Troubleshoot issues related to Oracle E-Business Suite applications, databases, and infrastructure components.- Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and implement permanent solutions.Support for Oracle and Third-Party Technologies :- Provide support for other Oracle technologies, including OBIEE, OBI, SOA services, WebLogic, OAM, and OIM.- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as starting, stopping, and monitoring these technologies.Database Administration Tasks :- Perform database administration tasks such as RMAN backups, restores, and recoveries.- Manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environments and support multi-tenant architecture (CDB, PDB).Security and SSL/TLS Configuration :- Configure and maintain SSL/TLS encryption for secure communication within the Oracle E-Business Suite environment.- Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.Unix/Linux Support and Shell Scripting :- Provide basic support for Unix/Linux operating systems and perform shell scripting tasks as needed.- Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reliability.Required Skills and Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 5 to 10 years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA, with a focus on Oracle E-Business Suite R12.- Strong knowledge of Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite technologies such as ADOP, shared application top, and SSL/TLS configuration.- Proficiency in WebLogic administration and support.- Experience with Oracle RAC, multi-tenant architecture (CDB, PDB), and Oracle Data Guard.- Demonstrated ability to perform performance tuning and optimization at both the application and database level.- Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience in identifying root cause analysis.- Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management.- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.Preferred : Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and experience with cloud deployment.
