Description:
Overview of position :Technical Writer shall be responsible for producing all product documentation expected to be understood by the product users in order to work with the product. The documentation includes user guides, installation manual, release notes, on-line context sensitive help on user interface displays etc. He/She should be able to effectively work within a team of technically strong engineers. He/She should be adhering to the schedules, standards and quality processes and procedures of the Organization. Total Years of Experience :- Position requires a graduate or post graduate degree with 5+years of experience in technical writing. - Candidates with Engineering or Science background will be preferred. Responsibilities : - Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements- Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities- Create and maintain the information architecture- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience- Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users' understanding- Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides- Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications- Update the documentation as and when the product functionality changes- Responsible for following applicable ISO processes.- Proven working experience in technical writing of software product documentation- Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text, pictures and videos- Excellent written skills in English- Strong working experience with Microsoft Office- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and software development, and understanding of the technical documentation needed for software products.
