Job Description : We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the development and implementation of our end-to-end 834 EDI solution. A robust level of experience or familiarity with 834 EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions is critical for this role. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to facilitate the ingestion, processing, and analysis of healthcare enrollment and eligibility data.Responsibilities :- Design and implement robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant data pipelines for acquiring, preprocessing, and storing large volumes of structured and unstructured healthcare data.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, machine learning engineers, and domain experts, to understand project requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to clean, transform, and enrich healthcare data for analysis and modeling purposes.- Optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms, including database design, indexing strategies, and query optimization techniques, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.- Implement data governance and security best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of healthcare data, in compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA.- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data engineering and healthcare IT to drive innovation and continuous improvement in data processing capabilities.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.- Proven experience (3-5+ years) as a Data Engineer, Database Engineer, or similar role, with a strong track record of designing and building scalable data solutions.- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or Apache Beam.- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with related technologies like Amazon S3, AWS Glue, or Google BigQuery.- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and SQL proficiency.- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Benefits :- Competitive salary commensurate with experience, life changing equity- Flexible work hours and remote work options-- Continuous learning and professional development opportunities (ref:hirist.tech)
