Job Description :The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in tech startups, possess proficiency in Python, and demonstrate the ability to manage a team of DevOps analysts. Exposure to working with an algorithmic-based trading firm will be considered a significant advantage.Responsibilities :Leadership and Team Management :- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the trade operations team.- Handling a team that would be managing operations across multiple geographies.- Manage, mentor, and guide a team of DevOps analysts to ensure seamless execution of trading strategies.- Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture within the team.Trade Execution and Operations :- Ensure the timely and accurate execution of trades across various financial instruments.- Monitor and manage trading infrastructure and systems to maintain high availability and reliability.Technology Integration and Enhancement :- Collaborate with the technology team to develop and enhance trading tools and systems.- Implement best practices and cutting-edge solutions to optimize trade operations.- Automate infrastructure using tools like docker, ansible- Enhance monitoring, alerting stack- Create airflow dags for different data processes, exchange related file downloads etc.Risk Management :- Assess and mitigate risks associated with trading operations and technology systems.- Develop and implement risk management protocols and controls.Security and Cybersecurity Management :- Develop and implement robust data security policies, protocols, and procedures to safeguard sensitive trading data and information.- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's data flow and infrastructure, identifying areas that require additional security measures.Qualifications :- Ability to work with little or no supervision while operating within the team.- Experience building scalable infrastructure on the cloud (preferably) and On-Premises- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in trade/tech operations within tech startups or Algo trading firms.- Strong proficiency in Python and scripts.- Proven track record of managing and leading teams effectively.- Experience in working with DevOps methodologies and tools for trade operations.- Familiarity with algorithmic trading company operations and exposure to trading in financial instruments will be a plus.- In-depth knowledge of financial markets and trading concepts.- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.- High-level understanding of infrastructure, networking and security principles.- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (ref:hirist.tech)
