What You Will Be Doing :As a Web Developer & Instructor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of web developers. Your primary responsibilities will include teaching daily live code-alongs via Zoom, explaining complex concepts simply using real-life examples, exercises, and storytelling. Additionally, you will provide learner support, encouraging struggling learners and challenging those who are excelling. You will also contribute to curriculum feedback and report learner progress.Key Responsibilities:Live Code-Alongs :- Conduct daily live code-alongs via Zoom to teach web development concepts and techniques.- Explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner, using real-life examples and storytelling.Learner Support :- Provide support to learners, answering questions, providing guidance, and addressing concerns.- Encourage struggling learners and challenge those who are excelling to reach their full potential.Curriculum Feedback :- Provide feedback on curriculum content, suggesting improvements and enhancements to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.- Collaborate with curriculum developers to refine and update course materials based on learner feedback and industry trends.Progress Reporting :- Track learner progress and performance, providing regular updates and reports to management and stakeholders.- Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to support learner success.Web Developer Key Responsibilities :Technical Expertise :- Pass on your technical expertise to build junior web developers ready to start new careers.- Share your knowledge and experience in web development to help learners master essential skills.Basic Requirements :Education and Experience :One of the following combinations :- Bachelor's degree + 3 years of software industry experience.- Coding boot camp certificate requiring at least 900 hours + 4 years of software industry experience.- High school diploma/GED + 5 years of software industry experience.Technical Skills :- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, and HTTP/Ajax.- Experience with web servers (Node.js or RDBMS) and Node.js Web APIs.- Ability to present technical information clearly and engagingly.Reliable Internet Connection :- A reliable internet connection with at least 6 Mbps upload speed.Nice-to-have Requirements :Teaching or Mentoring Experience :- Previous experience in teaching or mentoring would be advantageous.
