Description:
Role Description :As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for assessing the current state of applications, working with application teams to close any gaps, and developing target state architectures for on-premise or cloud landing zones. You will create artifacts including logical and physical diagrams, network/security flows, and socialize the target state with relevant stakeholders. Additionally, you will assume technical leadership for migration activities and serve as an escalation point for design changes or technical issues.Key Responsibilities :Current State Assessment :- Assess the current state of applications in relation to servers, storage, integration points, criticality, and user access.- Collaborate with application teams to identify and close any gaps in the current state.Artifact Creation :- Create current state artifacts, including logical and physical diagrams, if they do not exist, to document the existing architecture.Target State Development :- Develop target state architecture for either on-premise or cloud landing zones based on business requirements and best practices.- Create target state artifacts, including logical and physical diagrams, and network/security flows to illustrate the proposed architecture.Stakeholder Communication :- Socialize the target state with application teams, solution design peers, security partners, and review boards to gather feedback and ensure alignment.Technical Leadership :- Assume the technical lead role for subsequent migration activities, providing guidance and direction to ensure successful implementation.- Serve as an escalation point for any design changes or technical issues encountered during migration.Basic Requirements :Technical Expertise:- Proven experience in solution architecture, with a strong understanding of servers, storage, integration, and security concepts.- Proficiency in creating logical and physical diagrams to represent complex architectures.Communication Skills :- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Analytical Thinking :- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to assess complex technical environments and propose effective solutions.Leadership :- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to assume technical leadership roles and drive initiatives to successful outcomes.Preferred Qualifications :Cloud Experience :- Experience designing architectures for cloud environments, with knowledge of cloud services and deployment models.Certification :Relevant certifications in solution architecture or cloud platforms (e.g. , AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).
