Job Description :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. IT Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT security, with the ability to work independently, demonstrate proactive and adaptable behavior, and take ownership of tasks to ensure their successful completion.Key Responsibilities :Security Operations and Monitoring :- Oversee and manage daily security operations, including monitoring, incident response, and threat analysis.- Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT infrastructure, including firewalls, anti-virus systems, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Risk Management and Assessment :- Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.- Identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies.Incident Response and Management :- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.- Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of incidents.Compliance and Governance :- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST).- Prepare and maintain documentation for audits and assessments.Security Awareness and Training :- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.- Promote a culture of security awareness across the organization.Project Management :- Lead and manage security projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.- Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to integrate security requirements into projects and initiatives.Technical Expertise and Advisory :- Provide expert advice and guidance on IT security matters to senior management and other stakeholders.- Stay updated with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats, and recommend improvements to the organization's security posture.Required Skills and Qualifications :- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.- A master's degree is a plus.- Experience : 7-10 years of experience in IT security or a related field.- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are highly desirable.Technical Skills :- Proficient in security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, and encryption.- Strong understanding of network protocols, security architecture, and secure coding practices.- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.Analytical Skills : - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to systematically approach and resolve complex security issues.Project Management : - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Communication Skills :- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to clearly articulate security concepts and requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.Interpersonal Skills : - Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Personal Attributes : - Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and willing to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.What We Offer :- Competitive salary and benefits package.- Opportunities for professional growth and development.- A collaborative and inclusive work environment.- The chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
