Job Description :We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager with a strong background in FPGA-based embedded systems design, development, and testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of embedded systems projects, from concept to delivery, with a focus on hardware development. This role involves troubleshooting, system bring-up, porting of Board Support Packages (BSP), drivers, bare-metal code, Linux OS, and kernel on FPGA-based platforms.Responsibilities :Project Management :- Lead and manage FPGA-based embedded systems projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to achieve project goals.System Design and Development : - Architect and design FPGA-based embedded systems, considering hardware constraints and project requirements.- Oversee the development of Board Support Packages (BSP), device drivers, bare-metal code, and Linux kernel for FPGA platforms.- Software development and debugging tools for C / C++ and Python Gcc tools, Pycharm, Eclipse, VS Code- Tools for Linting, Memory leakages and Code coverage- Remote debugging with embedded boardsTesting and Troubleshooting : - Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for embedded systems, including hardware testing, functional testing, and system integration testing.- Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve hardware and software issues in FPGA-based systems.- FPGA tools for design, development and testing from AMD Xilinx, IntelSystem Bring-Up and Porting :- Manage the process of system bring-up on FPGA platforms, ensuring successful integration of hardware and software components.-- Lead the porting of BSP, drivers, bare-metal code, Linux OS, and kernel across different FPGA architectures.Collaboration and Communication :- Foster effective communication within the team and with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project goals and status.- Collaborate with other departments, such as research and development, to incorporate cutting-edge technologies into embedded systems projects.Documentation :- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for design specifications, test plans, and project reports. - Ensure that all relevant documentation is accessible and up-to-date for both internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience in FPGA-based embedded systems design, development, and testing.- Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and FPGA architectures.- Expertise in Board Support Package (BSP) development, device drivers, bare-metal code, and Linux kernel porting.- Proficiency in FPGA programming languages (VHDL, Verilog) and experience with FPGA development tools.- Familiarity with hardware description languages (HDL) and hardware simulation tools.- Excellent project management and leadership skills.- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.Preferred Skills :- Experience with high-speed communication protocols (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet).- Knowledge of signal processing algorithms and implementation on FPGAs.- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements in embedded systems development.
