Purpose of the job :As a Solution Architect Research and Development, you are responsible for designing and developing innovative technical solutions for research and development projects within the organization. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to define the technical architecture, explore new technologies and develop solutions that meet the needs and objectives of R&D projects. You play a crucial role in driving technical innovation and delivering high-quality solutions that contribute to the long-term success of the organization.Furthermore, you are responsible for managing, maintaining and optimizing applications used within research and development projects within the organization. You will work closely with R&D teams and other stakeholders to ensure applications meet project needs, support researchers and contribute to the success of R&D initiatives.The Solution Architect R&D is responsible for the overall architecture, design, implementation and integrity of the R&D applications within our organization.- Supports demand management in the ideation phase and early stages of the IM projects.- Provides solutions that are compatible with the existing (technical and functional) architecture to ensure compliance with strategy, policy, guidelines, budget and operational supportability.- Ensures quality and consistency with functional template design for deployments.- Monitors the market to gain knowledge and understanding of currently emerging technologies in own area of expertise.- Build and maintain strong relationship with functional, commercial stakeholders and become a trusted advisor for R&D processes covered in own area of expertise.- Lead and/or participate in projects covering the R&D domain.Experience / Education :- Master/ bachelor's degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, information technology or a related field.- Professional with minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT sector including 5 years minimum managing R&D applications/experience as R&D Solution Architect or Lead in a complex architecture.- Demonstrated experience in application management, preferably in a research and development environment.- Strong project management / portfolio managements experience- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Ability to influence internal and external parties and communicate clearly in at different levels.- Fluent in written and spoken English.- Used to working in a global environment and familiar with regional specifics.- Knowledge of / experience with the manufacturing / process industry.- Ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new trends and technologies.- Strong analytical skills.- Excellent technical skills, including knowledge of application development, databases, and networking.- Problem solving skills using knowledge, experience and analysis of available information and the ability to work independently under pressure.- Ability to remain neutral towards technology, vendor and product choices, as well as to be more interested in results than in personal preferences.- Knowledge of R&D processes and experience in the scientific or technical sector is a plus.- Hands-on experience in R&D implementation projects- Ability to drive best practices across R&D development and configurationGood to have :- TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are a plus- ITIL Foundation v4 Certification- ASL2 Certification- Prince2 Foundation/Practioner- Agile Scrum Foundation- MS Azure Cloud Fundamentals- Automated Administration with Windows PowerShell (ref:hirist.tech)
