Overview :As an Application Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning and stability of our company's applications.- Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to end-users and internal teams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.- This role is crucial in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and enabling the seamless operation of our business applications.Key responsibilities :- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and internal teams- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and system outages- Collaborate with development teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring technical problems- Monitor application performance and implement proactive measures to optimize performance- Create and maintain technical documentation for support processes and procedures- Assist in testing application releases and updates- Participate in on-call rotation to address critical system issues outside of regular business hours- Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and system enhancements- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on technical issues and resolutions- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for application support processes- Train end-users on application functionality and best practices- Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies- Manage user access and permissions for applications- Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing issues and improvementsRequired Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field- Proven work experience as an Application Support Engineer or in a similar role- Strong understanding of application architecture and infrastructure- Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing database data- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple open issues simultaneously- Knowledge of IT service management and support processes (ITIL)- Familiarity with monitoring tools for application performance and system health- Experience in providing customer support and interacting with stakeholders- Understanding of security and data protection principles- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment- Certifications such as ITIL, Oracle, or Microsoft are a plus- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamSkills : troubleshooting, customer support, sql, scripting, lms, ticketing tools (ref:hirist.tech)
