Salary : 25 - 40 LPAJob Description :We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 11 to 16 years of experience in managing software development projects, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget. The Software Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing projects.Key Responsibilities :Project Planning and Execution :- Project Scope : Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.- Planning : Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring alignment with business objectives.- Resource Allocation : Identify and allocate resources, including team members, tools, and budget, to meet project requirements.- Execution : Oversee the execution of project plans, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.Team Leadership and Collaboration : - Team Management : Lead and motivate a team of software developers, QA engineers, and other technical staff.- Collaboration : Foster a collaborative environment, facilitating communication and cooperation among team members and stakeholders.- Conflict Resolution : Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise within the project team. Monitoring and Reporting- Progress Tracking : Monitor project progress, performance, and timelines using appropriate tools and techniques.- Status Reports : Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, and issues.- Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement :- Quality Standards : Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications.- Process Improvement : Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and outcomes.- Post-Project Evaluation : Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.Requirements :- Experience : 11 to 16 years of experience in software project management, with a proven track record of delivering successful software projects.- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree or PMP certification is a plus.- Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).- Leadership Skills : Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. - Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.- Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Desired Skills :Agile Methodologies : Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.Technical Expertise : Background in software development, with hands-on experience in coding, software architecture, or QA.Certifications : PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications.Industry Knowledge : Experience in specific industries such as finance, health (ref:hirist.tech)
