About the Role :We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Information Security Engineer to join our team in Chennai, Bangalore, or Hyderabad. You will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's information assets by implementing and maintaining robust security controls, conducting security assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.Responsibilities :Security Policy and Standards :- Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's information security policies and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, 22301).- Conduct security awareness training programs for employees to educate them on best practices for protecting information assets.Security Assessments and Audits:- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses in IT infrastructure and applications.- Participate in internal and external security audits (e.g., SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA) to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.- Analyze security incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.Security Controls and Monitoring :- Design, implement, and maintain technical security controls (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems) to protect against cyber threats.- Monitor security logs and alerts to identify and respond to potential security incidents in a timely manner.- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities to proactively mitigate risks.Risk Management :- Participate in risk assessments to identify, analyze, and prioritize security risks to the organization's information assets.- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified security vulnerabilities.Collaboration and Communication :- Collaborate effectively with IT teams, business units, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between security objectives and business needs.- Communicate security risks, policies, and procedures to all levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner.- Document security processes, procedures, and findings for future reference and knowledge transfer.Skills and Experience :- 7+ years of experience in information security with a focus on IT infrastructure security and compliance.- Strong understanding of information security frameworks and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, 22301, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA) with experience in at least one of the compliance areas (GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA).- Proven experience in conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.- In-depth knowledge of security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control mechanisms.- Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools for log monitoring and analysis.- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
