Description:
Responsibilities :- Conduct penetration testing on web applications, networks, and systems to identify vulnerabilities and security issues.- Perform vulnerability assessments using manual and automated techniques.- Document findings and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and potential impact.- Provide detailed reports and recommendations for remediation to stakeholders.- Collaborate with senior penetration testers and security teams to refine testing methodologies and tools.- Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.- Assist in developing and maintaining penetration testing frameworks and tools.- Participate in red team exercises and security assessments as required.Requirements :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).- Knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.- Familiarity with common web application vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and network security principles.- Experience with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, etc.- Basic understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation of testing procedures.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity.Nice to have :- Certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), or related certifications.- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) (ref:hirist.tech)
