Experience :- 3-5 years of experience in software development with a focus on designing, developing, and maintaining APIs.- Solid understanding of RESTful API principles and best practices (design, versioning, documentation).- Experience with designing and implementing APIs using popular frameworks (e.g. Django REST Framework, Spring Boot, Express.js).- Proficiency in a high-level programming language commonly used for API development (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).- Experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS) for building basic API documentation.- Experience with database interaction and data access patterns within APIs.- Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms for secure API access (e.g. OAuth, JWT).- Experience with API testing frameworks (e.g. Postman, Swagger) to ensure API functionality.- Experience with version control systems (Git) for collaborative development.- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.- A passion for building well-designed, well-documented, and user-friendly APIs.- A desire to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in API development trends and tools.Responsibilities :- Design, develop, document, and deploy robust and scalable APIs that meet business requirements.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (product owners, developers) to understand API needs and translate them into technical specifications.- Implement efficient data access patterns and database interactions for APIs.- Utilize appropriate authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure secure API access.- Develop clear and concise API documentation for internal and external consumers.- Write unit tests to ensure the functionality and reliability of API endpoints.- Troubleshoot and resolve API issues to maintain optimal performance and availability.- Stay up-to-date with the latest API design trends, frameworks, and security best practices.- Continuously improve the API development process and contribute to a developer-friendly API ecosystem.Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience with a strong portfolio).
