We are searching for a seasoned Security Engineering Manager / Team Lead to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership experience in cybersecurity pre-sales. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the sales team while leading and mentoring a team of security engineers. Responsibilities :- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical pre-sales support to customers and partners - Develop and nurture existing and new customer accounts - Coach, mentor, and inspire your team of security engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment - Deliver compelling technical product and solution presentations - Actively participate in IT security events and trade shows as a subject matter expert speaker - Translate customer business requirements into comprehensive and integrated technical solutions - Demonstrate strong leadership skills by effectively managing a security engineering team - Lead complex and competitive sales opportunities to successful closure through deep technical knowledge, competitive awareness, and strong customer credibility - Proactively identify and resolve revenue-impacting support escalations - Maintain open communication channels with product management, business units, sales, and marketing teams - Possess a broad understanding of the current, evolving, and past security threat landscape within the IT security industry Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - Minimum 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on pre-sales activities - Proven track record of successfully managing and leading a security engineering team - Strong understanding of security best practices, threats, and vulnerabilities - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise language for both technical and non-technical audiences - Passion for building and maintaining strong customer relationships - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentTechnical Skills :- Strong understanding of current security threats and vulnerabilities (e.g., malware, phishing, ransomware, zero-day attacks)- In-depth knowledge of security best practices and frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls)- Experience with various security solutions (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, data loss prevention)- Familiarity with security architecture principles and secure coding practices- Understanding of compliance requirements relevant to the industry (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA) (ref:hirist.tech)
