About the Role:We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Technical Writer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for our SaaS (Software as a Service) product family. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and meets the needs of our diverse user base.Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, API references, tutorials, and release notes.- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand language.- Conduct user research to identify areas for improvement in our documentation and ensure it meets user needs.- Apply best practices for technical writing, including adherence to style guides and documentation standards.- Utilize various content authoring tools and potentially author content for online help systems and knowledge bases.- Stay up-to-date on the latest software development trends and technologies.- May participate in the creation of marketing materials related to the software product.- In some cases, mentor and guide junior technical writers.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the software industry.- Proven ability to create clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation.- Strong understanding of software development concepts and methodologies (e.g, Agile, Waterfall).- Experience with content authoring tools (e.g, MadCap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp).- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.- Experience with user research methodologies is a plus.- Experience leading and mentoring junior technical writers (a plus) (ref:hirist.tech)
