Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure. With your expertise in automation and infrastructure management tools, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and efficiency of our critical systems.Responsibilities:Infrastructure Automation and Orchestration:- Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.- Develop and implement scripts using scripting languages (e.g, JavaScript, Groovy, Bash) to automate operational tasks and troubleshooting procedures.- Continuously improve automation processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.Monitoring and Alerting:- Design and implement robust monitoring solutions to proactively identify and troubleshoot potential issues within the infrastructure.- Configure and maintain alerting systems to notify teams of potential problems and performance deviations.- Analyze logs and metrics to identify root causes of incidents and implement corrective actions.Performance Optimization:- Continuously monitor and optimize infrastructure performance to ensure efficient resource utilization and responsiveness.- Identify and implement performance improvement strategies to ensure scalability of the infrastructure.- Utilize cloud-native monitoring and scaling tools for optimal performance management.Incident Response and Recovery:- Participate in the incident response process by troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues efficiently.- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure rapid recovery from outages and minimize downtime.- Conduct post-mortem analysis of incidents to identify potential improvements and prevent future occurrences.Collaboration and Communication:- Work effectively with developers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and translate them into operational solutions.- Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.- Continuously learn and share knowledge with the team to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in SRE.Qualifications:- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field (e.g, Cloud Operations).- Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining highly reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure.- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).- Experience with scripting languages (e.g, JavaScript, Groovy, Bash) for automation purposes.- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g, AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.- Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting tools and methodologies.- Experience with incident response and disaster recovery best practices.- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in SRE and cloud technologies (ref:hirist.tech)
