Description:

We are searching for a skilled and experienced Jenkins Engineer to join our DevOps team. You will play a crucial role in managing, automating, and optimizing our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of software development throughout the entire lifecycle.Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.- Configure and manage Jenkins plugins for various functionalities (e.g, build automation, testing, deployment).- Integrate Jenkins with source code repositories (e.g, Git) and artifact repositories (e.g, Nexus, Artifactory).- Implement automated unit, integration, and performance testing within the CI/CD pipeline.- Configure and manage security best practices within Jenkins pipelines.- Monitor and optimize Jenkins performance for efficiency and scalability.- Troubleshoot and debug Jenkins issues, including build failures and pipeline disruptions.- Perform upgrades and maintenance of Jenkins infrastructure.- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Jenkins, CI/CD methodologies, and DevOps best practices.- Collaborate with developers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of CI/CD pipelines within the development workflow.- Document Jenkins configurations, pipelines, and operational procedures.Technical Skills (Required):- 3-6 years of experience in designing, developing, and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.- In-depth knowledge of Jenkins architecture, configuration options, and plugin ecosystem.- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g Groovy, Python) for writing Jenkins pipelines and automation scripts.- Experience with source code management systems (e.g, Git) and version control best practices.- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery principles.- Experience with unit testing frameworks and integration testing tools.- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) (a plus).- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.Educational Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) (ref:hirist.tech)
