About the Role :We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining the infrastructure that forms the foundation of our applications. You will be responsible for automating tasks, streamlining workflows, and ensuring the overall health and performance of our platform.Responsibilities :- Provision and manage infrastructure components such as servers, networks, storage, and cloud resources- Develop automation scripts and tooling using IT automation tools to streamline infrastructure management- Design and implement a CI/CD pipeline that automates build, test, and deployment workflows- Monitor system performance metrics to identify and troubleshoot any issues related to performance, security, or reliability- Integrate security best practices and compliance requirements into the platform, including encryption and access management- Document platform configurations and processes to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing across teams- Collaborate closely with developers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the platform meets their requirements- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies that could enhance the platform's capabilities and evaluate their potential impactQualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)- Minimum 5+ years of experience in infrastructure management or platform engineering- Strong understanding of infrastructure components (servers, networks, storage, cloud)- Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell- Experience with IT automation tools (e., Ansible, Chef, Puppet)- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e. , Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)- Solid understanding of system monitoring tools and methodologies- Experience with security principles and practices (e. , encryption, access control)- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills (ref:hirist.tech)
