AgTech Data ScientistResponsibilities and Duties :- Develop innovative applications for monitoring and validating the effectiveness of regenerative agriculture projects.- Leverage geospatial data and satellite imagery to uncover critical patterns and trends in areas like tillage detection, field flooding, and crop yield.- Employ AI/ML techniques and methodologies to perform in-depth data analysis and create actionable insights for optimizing agricultural systems.- Monitor project progress and analyze data to ensure it meets the required scientific standards.- Effectively communicate complex technical and scientific findings to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment.- Stay up-to-date on advancements in geospatial technology, AI/ML, and regenerative agriculture practices.Qualifications :- Ph.D or Master's degree in Data Science, Agriculture, Remote Sensing, GIS, or a closely related field (with a focus on geospatial analysis is preferred).- 5+ years of relevant industry experience applying data science expertise to solve agricultural challenges.- Proven experience in developing applications using programming languages like Python and R.- Strong foundation in machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis techniques.- Experience with geospatial data analysis tools and satellite imagery processing is essential.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.- Passion for sustainable agriculture and a strong desire to contribute to the advancement of regenerative practices (ref:hirist.tech)
