Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled SCEM Support Engineer to join our IT team. In this critical role, you will play a vital role in supporting and maintaining our System Center Environment and Monitoring (SCEM) infrastructure. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Microsoft System Center products and related technologies to ensure optimal performance, timely resolution of issues, and efficient management of our IT environment.Responsibilities :- Provide comprehensive support for all aspects of our SCEM infrastructure, including System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), System Center Service Manager (SCSM), System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH), and System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM).- Monitor system health and performance using SCOM, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot problems to ensure optimal system uptime and availability.- Manage alerts, incidents, and service requests within SCSM, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.- Automate routine tasks and workflows using SCORCH to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.- Manage and optimize virtual machine environments using SCVMM, ensuring scalability and resource utilization.- Maintain and configure Management Packs, overrides, rules, and monitors within SCOM for effective system monitoring.- Collaborate with database administrators to ensure efficient interaction between SCEM and SQL Server.- Possess a strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems for broader IT infrastructure support.- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Active Directory (AD), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) for network troubleshooting.- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services is a plus.- Continuously monitor industry trends and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in SCEM technologies.- Participate in knowledge sharing and provide support to other IT team members.- Maintain a strong focus on customer service principles, ensuring efficient resolution of user issues.Qualifications :- 12+ years of experience in supporting and managing IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft System Center products (SCOM, SCSM, SCORCH, SCVMM).- In-depth knowledge of System Center functionalities, configurations, and best practices.- Experience with Management Pack development and customization is a plus.- Experience with SQL Server administration and basic knowledge of T-SQL syntax is required.- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration.- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services is a plus.- ITIL certification (v4 Foundation or similar) and/or MOF scripting experience are a plus.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent time management and organizational skills (ref:hirist.tech)
