The Manager, Software Engineering will facilitate the definition, implementation, and validation of the application software within one or more software engineering teams. This position is responsible for both people and product development. People development includes career planning, mentoring, project leadership, and team building for their scrum teams. The Manager will partner with product managers and the engineers to facilitate the detailed roadmap for their feature set. They will promote standards and practices within and across teams to balance speed, quality, and safety in software releases while also monitoring the product efficacy, service levels, and availability. The position requires a deep technical background in systems, enterprise scale, and security in SaaS domain. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to drive engineering practices that create great products and meaningful employee experiences. You'll Get To :- Hire, mentor and develop purpose-driven engineers capable of rapidly delivering and learning. - Partner with engineers, engineering managers, and product managers to build frameworks and services that enable increased feature velocity, improved monitoring, and continual improvement of applications.- Understand the role of microservices in enterprise and device development and refactoring - Must be able to go as deep as necessary to validate design and technology directions and solve problems.- Execute architectural design frameworks to ensure high quality information systems are delivered expeditiously and aligned with business objectives.- Work with leadership to devise proper resourcing and budget needs.What You'll Need : - Bachelor's Degree (B.E/ B.Tech) in Computer Science or relevant experience required.- Minimum of 8 years of software development experience including substantial complex whole life cycle software development management. - Extensive experience in developing software in a scrum/Agile environment. - 5+ years' experience in technical lead role with proven experience mentoring engineers from a technical standpoint - 5+ years of Experience in leading and managing Software teams- Experience in on-boarding new hires, providing performance feedback and developing employees. - Experience in cloud development technologies is a must- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages relevant to your industry (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, Go).- Experience with Agile (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) or Waterfall methodologies and the ability to adapt to different project needs.- Understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and the ability to design scalable and maintainable systems.- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices for automated builds, testing, and deployments.- An understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP (a plus).
