Job Description:About the Role :We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join our team and play a key role in driving data-driven decision making across the organization. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and Python programming to modernize our analytics infrastructure and generate actionable insights from a variety of data sources. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine your technical skills with a consultative approach, partnering with stakeholders to identify business opportunities and translate data into actionable strategies.Responsibilities :- Lead the migration of legacy SAS implementations to modern, Python-based data science solutions.- Analyze raw data from various sources, including data quality assessment, cleaning, and structuring for downstream processing.- Develop and implement machine learning models, leveraging techniques such as predictive modeling, clustering, and classification, to extract valuable insights from data.- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate complex data analysis into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.- Provide consultative advice on emerging data science trends, data visualization tools (Python libraries), statistical techniques, and analytical approaches aligned with business goals.- Design and develop prototypes and proofs-of-concept to demonstrate the feasibility and value of new data science solutions for specific business areas and IT requirements.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field (or Master's degree preferred).- At least 4 years of experience in quantitative analytics, data modeling, or a related field.- Deep understanding of machine learning concepts, including predictive modeling, clustering, classification algorithms, and statistical analysis.- Strong proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation, analysis, and model development.- Familiarity with other programming languages (e g . R, SQL, Java) is a plus.- Working knowledge of Big Data frameworks (e.g Hadoop, Spark) and data visualization tools (e.g Power BI, Python libraries) (a plus).- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with business stakeholders and translate technical concepts into actionable insights.- Problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mind-set to identify patterns and trends within data.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously (ref:hirist.tech)
