Key Responsibilities :Splunk Administration :- Administer and manage Splunk environments, including indexers, search heads, forwarders, and deployment servers.- Develop and implement Splunk configurations and best practices.- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of Splunk systems.Data Onboarding and Configuration :- Onboard new data sources into Splunk, ensuring proper parsing and indexing.- Create and manage Splunk knowledge objects (e.g., saved searches, dashboards, data models, reports).- Develop and implement data retention and archiving policies.Security and Compliance : - Ensure Splunk environments comply with security standards and policies.- Implement and monitor security configurations and settings.- Perform regular audits and compliance checks.Troubleshooting and Support :- Provide advanced technical support for Splunk-related issues.- Diagnose and resolve performance and operational issues.- Assist in the development of user support documentation and training materials.Collaboration :- Work closely with IT, security, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of Splunk systems.- Collaborate with vendors and third-party support to resolve issues and implement new solutions.- Stay updated on the latest Splunk features, best practices, and industry trends.Qualifications :Experience :- Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT, with at least 3-4 years of hands-on experience managing Splunk environments.- Splunk certification (e.g., Splunk Certified Admin, Splunk Certified Architect) is required.Technical Skills :- Proficient in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud.- Strong understanding of Splunk architecture and components.- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and regular expressions.- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles.Soft Skills :- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
