Job Description :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Apigee Administrator with 4 to 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in Apigee Hybrid and Apigee OPDK (On-Premises Deployment Kit) administration, with extensive expertise in operations, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and management of Apigee platforms. As an Apigee Administrator, you will lead capacity planning, performance optimization, and root cause analysis activities to ensure the reliability, scalability, and availability of our API gateway infrastructure.Responsibilities :- Apigee Platform Expertise : Serve as a subject matter expert in Apigee Hybrid and Apigee OPDK administration, with a deep understanding of Apigee platform components, configurations, and best practices.- Operations and Management : Manage day-to-day operations of Apigee platforms, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning. - Implement and enforce operational procedures and best practices.- Troubleshooting and Monitoring : Utilize strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues related to API management and gateway functionality in Apigee Hybrid and Apigee OPDK environments. - Monitor system health and performance metrics to proactively identify and address potential issues.- Scripting and Automation : Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts and Ansible playbooks for automating routine administrative tasks, deployment processes, and configuration management in Apigee environments.- CI/CD Integration : Set up and configure continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for Apigee deployments. - Automate testing, packaging, and deployment of API proxies using CI/CD tools and practices.- Cloud Experience : Leverage cloud experience, preferably in AWS, to deploy and manage Apigee API gateway infrastructure in a cloud environment. - Implement microservices architecture and containerization using OpenShift and Kubernetes.- High Availability and Failover : Design and implement high availability, load balancing, and failover configurations for Apigee platforms to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and fault tolerance.- Capacity Planning : Lead capacity planning and management activities to forecast and scale Apigee infrastructure to handle current and future transaction volumes effectively.- Root Cause Analysis : Lead root cause analysis sessions to investigate production issues, identify underlying causes, and implement preventive measures to mitigate future incidents.- Team Leadership and Training : Provide leadership and support to a team of developers, including training and mentoring them in Apigee platform administration, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.Qualifications :- Educational Qualifications : Bachelor's/Master's- 4 to 8 years of experience as an Apigee Administrator, with expertise in Apigee Hybrid and Apigee OPDK administration.- Strong proficiency in Unix shell scripting and Ansible automation.- Experience with CI/CD setup and integration for Apigee deployments.- Cloud experience, preferably in AWS, with knowledge of microservices architecture, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.- Hands-on experience with high availability, load balancing, and failover configurations in Apigee environments.- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to lead and support a team effectively.- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
