Description:
Roles & Responsibilities :- Proficiency in administering and maintaining both Linux and Windows operating systems to ensure smooth operation and security.- Utilize OS-enabled tools such as rsync, robocopy, and similar utilities for efficient data copying and synchronization tasks.- Configure and manage network file systems (NFS) and server message block (SMB) protocols, as well as implement and maintain snapshots, replication, SnapMirror, and SyncIQ for data management and disaster recovery purposes.- Demonstrate expertise in managing NAS storage technologies, including Netapp, PowerScale, Isilon, Qumulo, and Weka, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.- Utilize Dell EMC tools such as InsightIQ, DataIQ, and ESRS, as well as Netapp tools like OnCommand Unified Manager (OCUM) and Active IQ Unified Manager (AIUM) for comprehensive storage management and monitoring.- Implement and manage backup technologies such as Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, or similar solutions to ensure reliable data backup, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems like Prometheus, SolarWinds, telegraph, and Grafana to proactively monitor system health, performance, and security.- Desirable knowledge of cloud computing concepts and platforms, which can include public cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, as well as hybrid cloud environments, to facilitate integration with existing infrastructure or support future cloud initiatives.
