Job Description :We are looking for a skilled ML Engineer to develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems and optimize our financial services platform. Will work closely with Onefin engineering, product, and business teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver impactful results.Responsibilities :Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems and optimize our financial services platform.Analyze and interpret complex data sets to extract insights and drive informed decision-making.Evaluate and improve existing machine learning models and algorithms.Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in machine learning and data science.Lay roadmap & design mechanisms for continuous improvements to models.Develop image processing algorithms and use generative AI for product development.Develop a mathematical understanding of the loan product and the notion of risk in the product.Requirements and Qualifications :Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.2+years of experience as an ML Engineer or similar role in a fast-paced environment.Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and algorithms.Strong analytical skills to quickly understand business problems, formulate them as mathematical problems, and suggest quantitative solutions to those problems.Experience in analyzing large amounts of data. Ability to develop, test and validate hypotheses to make modeling decisions based on the data.An eye for detail and rigor in understanding the data.Preferable experience in working on and developing text analysis, classification & tagging algorithms.Develop image processing algorithms and use generative AI for product development.Preferable familiarity with simulation & Markov chain based model developmentStrong communication and teamwork abilities.
