Position Summary :We're seeking an experienced Backend Developer with a passion for building scalable and reliable data pipelines. You'll play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our data-driven platform. If you enjoy optimizing data flow, transforming complex datasets, and ensuring data integrity, this role is for you.- Help us build the next generation of products which deals in disrupting government procurement by aggregating, indexing, analyzing, and otherwise transforming government purchasing data- Help our backend development team build out our infrastructure, queueing systems - Design and manage our datastores and enhance our ability to develop robust backend systems, to maintain diverse data storage & retrieval solutions- Build complex, data-driven UIs that are based on our core technologies - Contexture and mobxautoformQualifications :- Bachelor's degree and above in Computer Science, or similar is strongly preferred- 5+ years of exposure in overall programming experience- Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript- Experience with datastores such as Redis, MongoDB and Elasticsearch - Good command over queueing systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWA SQS (exposure over temporal system is a plus)- Good grasp message brokers, and distributed work/batch processing (experience implementing a multi-step data ingestion pipeline is a big plus)- Solid understanding of distributed computing principles and techniques, including scalability, fault tolerance, and consistency- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes- Excellent problem-solving skills & communication skills, including good practices on logging, tracing and alerting on the status of a system- Brings positive thinking and ability to work constructively in a team settingWhat can you expect :- In depth domain knowledge of North American government spending, bids, contracts, contacts, meetings and agenda dataset- Unique opportunity to collaborate with data, product management and relationship management teams to build futuristic tools, forms to manage vendor dataset (ref:hirist.tech)
