Senior Accountant Senior Accountant (5+ Years’ Experience) Senior Accountant (CPA required) Sr. Accountant Senior Accountant responsibilities and duties The responsibilities and duties section is the most important part of the job description. Here you should outline the functions this position will perform on a regular basis, how the job functions within the organization and the title of the manager the person will report to. Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO’s attention Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary Reconcile balance sheet accounts Delegate financial responsibilities to accounting team Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits Conduct regular ledger maintenance Senior Accountant qualifications and skills Next, outline the required and preferred skills for your position. This may include education, previous job experience, certifications and technical skills. You may also include soft skills and personality traits that you expect from a successful candidate.
